Every year, the English Department Students Association (EDSA) at Airlangga University (UNAIR) organizes a special event called English Nite, or Enite. This event is a drama performance given by students from the English Language and Literature department. Enite gives these students a platform to explore their interests in acting, directing, and stage production. It also provides a great opportunity for them to improve their skills in English through theater.  

    This year’s play, Ellipsis, tells a compelling story about Veronica Adams, a young actress full of ambition. Her career takes a sudden turn when she lands a significant role in an important film. However, Veronica faces a challenge that dampens her excitement: Logan Lancaster. Logan, a famous actor who had ignored her in the past, left her with painful memories.  

    As Veronica and Logan work together on intense scenes in the film, their conflicts heat up. Surprisingly, these tensions reveal unexpected sparks between them. Their growing connection blurs the lines between their roles in the film and their real-life emotions.  

    Annisa Nismara, one of the actors in Ellipsis, shared her excitement about the upcoming performance. She invited everyone to watch the play, saying, “This event happens at the end of every year. If you have free time or want to see an interesting theater show, Enite is a great choice. The performance is entirely in English, so it’s also a good way to improve your English skills.”
