EDSA has a lot of communities that function as a place to channel the interests and talents of their students. Our communities are engaged in several fields including art. Edsaman, as one of them, was established in 2015. Starting from only casual practice, until now where many students are interested in this regional dance, and not just EDSA students.
Every year EDSAMAN community recruits new members. At first, this community was only intended for English Department students. But now, Edsaman is open for all students of any major in the Faculty of Humanities Universitas Airlangga. In the past, they held an open class which was served to provide dance training for students from other majors. They also have taught native speakers who come to Universitas Airlangga and have invited friends from other faculties to see Edsaman in action.
Airlangga Business Week is a race event organized by BSO Entrepreneurship Faculty of Law, Universitas Airlangga. This event was attended by various universities in Indonesia such as Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Hasanuddin, and many more. The event was held for three days starting on March 1st to March 3rd, 2019. On the last day, there was an agenda called a lunch banquet. In this agenda, all delegations are expected to use Indonesian batik and kebaya.
