April 17th 2021 is a great day for EDSA to have a comparative study with IKMI (Ikatan Keluarga Mahasiswa Program Studi Inggris) Universitas Indonesia. This event intended to shed light on each other's program and initiate relations between the two organizations. The Comparative Study is usually held offline at the Faculty of Humanities. However, due to pandemics, this occasion was online.

The event started with the warm opening speech from Jeremia Kamagie, the Chief of EDSA, and Zahara Almira, the Chief of IKMI. Moving on to the presentation session, each director and vice-director project of the organizations introduced and explained their divisions' program and the objectives. One of the appealing divisions of IKMI was Student Welfare which focuses on the English Literature students' well-being.

After knowing each other's divisions and programs, the next activity was a Q&A session. At this moment, the participants were allowed to ask questions beyond the organizational theme. The topic that sparked attendance's interest the most was regarding the minor in English Literature of Universitas Airlangga. Compared to Universitas Indonesia, the students of EDSA can get more concentrated on the field they are interested in. These fields were divided into Linguistics, Literature, and Cultural Studies. After learning all the basic aspects of English Literature, they can choose which specialization they want to dive deeper into.

Finally, the event was closed with group photo documentation and also sharing keepsakes between EDSA and IKMI. From this occasion, we could gain insights from each organization's program and campus, which were very inspiring and encouraging. We expect to get more chances of comparative studies forward! (*)
